Hi, I’d like to know more about the IDMI as an organization?

The IDMI is an autonomous, not-for-profit organization established to deliver best in class training and education in the disciplines of digital, data and direct marketing.

Can the courses offered by the IDMI in digital marketing find me a job?

The courses offered by the IDMI in digital marketing should enable you to reach your higher career objectives – most of the courses offered are aimed at building a strong discipline foundation. However we do offer training programmes and courses to executives who are keen to upgrade and enhance their expertise.
Our course material and content is best-in-class and the knowledge gained should help you find a job.
The courses and training programmes are market orientated and strongly linked to industry requirements – we ensure that all content covered is relevant and based on a problem – solution methodology giving participants a solid foundation of both the development and execution process.

What immediate value would I get out of doing the courses from the IDMI?

Investing in digital marketing education today is a career investment for tomorrow. The need for digital talent has already become a scarce commodity. Completing our courses successfully would immediately give you an edge in terms not only the knowledge required to work in a digital environment but also practical expertise needed to develop and execute campaigns effectively and efficiently. It would help you smoothly transition into a digital marketing role in some cases help you get a better salary.

What’s the potential for Digital Marketing in India? Are these courses worth investing in?

Web marketing has exploded in western markets – In India as well the industry grew 74% in 2008* and continues to see massive growth as against other media channels. It’s only a function of time when digital marketing will become mainstream – the time, effort and money you put in now should pay rich dividends in the future.

I’ve already spent a few years in digital marketing – are there any courses that can help me improve my existing skills?

Yes, our core principles are anchored around continuous professional development at all levels – hence for executives who might already be practicing professionals we offer a range of advanced programmes such as our MasterClass series.
Our endeavor is to continuously enhance our course structures based a rapidly changing industry and continue providing benchmark level programmes.

What if I have very little digital marketing experience & knowledge ? Also as a working executive time is a big constraint. Does the IDMI have anything that suits my needs ?

We have a wide spectrum of learning formats – from basic short courses to advanced level programmes – each programme is customized to the requirement of different groups. There’s a lot of reading material and resources provided by the IDMI to ensure that each participant gets a solid understanding of each module and the discipline as a whole. In terms of timings and formats we will be introducing both online programmes as well as weekend schedules to suit working executives who might not be able to attend our regular programmes.

After enrolment what if I miss a few classes ? can I repeat the course / class next year?

We follow a very strict attendance policy and hope that all participants fulfill a minimum attendance criteria set down for each course - this is done for the benefit of participants. However, in the event of unusual circumstances we do make certain considerations which are left strictly to the sole discretion of the course coordinator.

Can I pay the course fee in installments? Is there any funding or loans available one can avail ?

Unfortunately, we do not have a provision to accept fees in installments and request full and complete fee payments before commencement of any course – However, we are in talks with some financial companies and banks to set up a process to offer loans for our long term courses. We will publish these partnerships as soon as we have clearance.

Can I transfer my course to another person / candidate after booking ?

Yes, provided the person you transfer it meets all the criteria for admission – also, we keep a cut off period of two weeks prior to commencement of any of our courses – in case transference is needed you will have to contact our course coordinator with all details. Here again transference is left to the sole discretion of our course director.

The IDMI prides itself at having a mix of both local and international faculty members – each one of them having a distinguished track record with years of experience in their respective fields – visit the faculty section on the website for more details on each of the trainers and tutors. We continuously approach seasoned professionals of the digital marketing industry to contribute and join the IDMI as faculty members, guest trainer and speakers.
